Prophecy International announces James Lind as eMite Business Development Director of EMEA

Adelaide, Australia – September 5th, 2018 – Prophecy International appointed James (Jamie) Lind as Business Development Director in pursuit of establishing a strong sales network throughout the region, effective September 1, 2018. Lind will be leading the company efforts into EMEA region and will be dedicated to eMite solutions, the CX (Customer Experience) Intelligence and real-time analytics and dashboarding portfolio of the company.

Jamie’s experience has been gained in both Europe and Australia with organisations like Nortel, Avaya, BT and Juniper. Previous roles include Country Manager for Nortel in Scotland, Sales Director for Avaya in Australia and Senior Client Director roles with Optus and Juniper.

Jamie has recently been running his own consultancy business delivering IT transformation to clients across Europe. With over 20 years in the industry, his experience includes direct sales and team management including strategic sales. He has demonstrated ability to grow business in new markets.

Jamie’s mandate is to aggressively grow the eMite business across Europe including growing our relationship with Genesys and the ecosystem of Genesys partners across Europe as well as to sign new partnerships for eMite with a focus on the telecommunications providers that are also Genesys partners.

eMite, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Prophecy International Holdings Limited (ASX:PRO), announced an integration with PureCloud by Genesys™ in 2017 and have since released Advanced Analytics for PureConnect. Prophecy International partners with Denver Public Schools to provide Summer Internship

Through a partnership with Denver Public Schools, Prophecy International will offer an internship program to a technology focussed high-school student this coming summer.

As part of the CareerLaunch Internship Program, a lucky high school student will complete 100-120 hour internship at Prophecy International over the June/ July 2018 period learning about the Cyber-security industry and putting their STEM coursework into practice.

Following the initial CareerLaunch program, Denver Public Schools said “98% of the business partners who had participated in the program felt offering internships to high school students was a viable way to groom future employees and said they hoped their company would continue to participate in CareerLaunch in the future”.

Prophecy International participates in Australian Cybersecurity delegation to USA

As Cybersecurity continues to dominate as a key issue for companies and governments worldwide,  Prophecy International recently joined a handpicked Australian delegation to the USA, led by AustCyber and in partnership with Austrade.  The delegation travelled first to Washington DC for one on one meetings with key US government departments and companies before attending the 2018 RSA Conference held in San Francisco from 16-20th April, 2018.

Prophecy International Sells basis2 Utilities Billing Business

Prophecy International Holdings Ltd (ASX: PRO) is pleased to announce that it has signed an agreement to sell its basis2 Utilities Billing System. basis2 forms a part of the Legacy business unit at Prophecy.

The business has been sold for a consideration of AUD$2.75 million in cash and the agreement is subject to the buyer raising part of the cash settlement amount through a share placement. Final settlement of the transaction is due by the end of May 2017 when the full consideration will be paid in cash and the staff and business assets transferred to the new owner.

Brad Thomas, Prophecy Group CEO said “This is a significant day for Prophecy and marks a transition away from our old lines of business to a renewed focus on growth in our new businesses. We are now fully focused on the Security and Log Management market with Snare and in the Analytics and Business Value Dashboard market with eMite. This sale not only further solidifies the cash position of the company but enables us to invest in a number of growth initiatives to better reach our global markets and support our customers and partners around the world.”

The basis2 business is built around a solid core of Oracle technology and has a global customer base, however it is not a focus of future growth for Prophecy.

Prophecy is pleased that the buyer has seen the value in the technology and the customers and will give the existing customer base the support that they require.

Brad Thomas OAM Appointed CEO

The Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Brad Thomas to the new position of CEO for the Prophecy International group (ASX:PRO).

Brad joined eMite in October 2016 as the General Manager of Sales. Prior to joining eMite Brad was most recently Senior General Manager and Head of Sales at Canon Australia.

His strategy and leadership experience spans sales, marketing, service delivery and operations with strategic growth know-how developed across companies such as Microsoft, Canon, Novell, Lenovo and Telstra in Software, Managed Services, Telecommunications and IT equipment markets.

In this new role, Brad has been tasked to construct and execute a plan for both the short and long term growth of the Prophecy business to ensure that investors are able to realise the potential of our current software offerings, together with any new acquisitions.
Brad’s mandate includes returning the Snare business to growth, capitalising on the immediate opportunities with eMite and achieving synergies across the group.

Brad has 20+ years’ experience in growing businesses across Australia, New Zealand, Asia Pacific and Japan and is known by industry and peers for Partner and Channel Management and Programs, Go to Market Strategy, Direct Sales Management, Business Leadership and Motivational Speaking.

In previous senior leadership roles Brad has successfully led and developed new Go to Market strategies, built new sales teams, rebuilt and turned around channels sales teams and partner programs, established new channels to market, as well as establishing sales effectiveness and sales enablement programs.

His focus on growth includes making sales organisations and partner ecosystems effective, delivering clear go to market strategies, developing unique value propositions and ensuring strategic alignment across the business. Across his career, Brad has been instrumental in attaining stretch goals, profit and margin growth, increased market share and business efficiencies.

His specialist expertise includes strategy, leadership, sales, business alliances, marketing, partner management, public speaking, operational management, service delivery and cross-functional engagement.

Brad’s high performance background includes an athletic career spanning three Paralympic games including Gold, Silver and Bronze medals and a Medal of The Order of Australia (OAM) for service to sport.

We all welcome Brad Thomas into this most senior role within the Prophecy group and look forward to a new phase of growth.
